KUORI is a Swiss deep-tech materials startup developing next-generation biobased and recyclable thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). Recognised by the EU Horizon programme and awarded Renewable Material of the Year 2023, our R&D team sits at the centre of the transition from lab formulation to real industrial customers — we're looking for a hands-on R&D Intern in our Schlieren lab.
What You Will Do
- Process bio-based composite materials (compounding, mixing, extrusion)
- Characterise mechanical, thermal, rheological properties
- Document results and analyse data
- Contribute to R&D documentation and operating procedures
- Work directly with R&D, and where relevant commercial/sustainability leads
What You Bring
- BSc/MSc in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering or related (or final year)
- Hands-on lab experience — compounding and/or tensile/abrasion/DSC characterisation a strong plus
- Analytical mindset, structured documentation
- Good spoken/written English; German a plus
Nice to Have
- Prior work in a polymer/materials lab environment
- Interest in sustainability/circular materials
